About Our Organization

The North Dakota Autism Center, Inc. (NDAC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to help children affected by autism spectrum disorders to reach their full potential through excellence in care, therapy, instruction and support. It is the only center-based program in North Dakota. We currently offer two programs: The AuSome Kids Day Program and AuSome Kids 1:1 Early Intervention Behavior Therapy Program. The AuSome Kids Day Program has a 3:1 client to staff ratio and is structured specifically for children on the autism spectrum. The AuSome Kids Early Intervention Behavioral Therapy Program has a 1:1 ratio and is a program that uses applied behavior analysis (ABA) which involves the use of basic behavioral practices such as reinforcement, prompting, and over correction to assist in the development of communication, social skills, self-help skills and everyday functional behavior skills. In addition, ABA is used to decrease inappropriate behaviors such as noncompliance, tantrums, aggression, self-injury and feeding programs.
